Accused of sexual misconduct, Alexander Wang promises to "improve"

Last December, Alexander Wang was accused by several men (including novice models), on social networks, of sexual misconduct.

The former artistic director of Balenciaga had vehemently denied these allegations before being discreet.

Then earlier this week, the creator released a statement in which he half-heartedly acknowledges having had problematic behavior in the past.

“Several people have come forward recently to bring charges against me for my past behavior.

I support their right to speak out, and I listened carefully to what they had to say.

It was not easy for them to share their stories, and I regret that I acted in a way that caused them suffering, ”he wrote.

Can do better

“While I disagree with some details about these personal interactions, I will try to be a better example and use my visibility and influence to encourage others to recognize hurtful behavior.

Life is about learning and growing, and now that I know better, I will do better, ”continued Alexander Wang.

On the sidelines of the stylist's press release, lawyer Lisa Bloom, who represents potential victims, spoke on Twitter, suggesting that the case would end there while no complaint has been filed.

“We met Alexander Wang and his team.

My clients had the opportunity to speak their truth to him as well as to share their suffering and grief.

We acknowledge Mr. Wang's apology and wish to move forward.

We have no further comments to make on this subject, ”said the lawyer.
