It is a day of mourning this Friday in Senegal at the call of the opposition collective M2D, the Movement for the Defense of Democracy, in memory of the victims of last week's clashes between police and demonstrators who made at least 5 dead.
It all started with the arrest of the opponent Ousmane Sonko, indicted for the alleged rape of a young Senegalese woman. Alioune Tine heads the West African think tank Africajom Center.
