Recently, a thrilling scene occurred in a community in Penglai District, Yantai City, Shandong Province. An elderly man in his seventies was trapped outside a window on the fourth floor.
After the fire commanders of the Penglai District Fire Rescue Brigade arrived at the scene, they used ropes from the stairs window to enter the home of the trapped person on the fourth floor and successfully rescued the old man back into the house.
It is understood that when the old man repaired the door lock at home, the strong wind closed the door, causing his wife to be locked in the house alone.
In a desperate situation, the old man wanted to use a rope to enter from the window. Unexpectedly, the rope broke and he was hung in the air in a dilemma.
After being rescued, the two elderly people came to the fire rescue brigade twice to give money to the firefighters to express their gratitude, but the firefighters declined.
