The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has revealed that 12 people who have been vaccinated with the new coronavirus have newly reported severe allergic symptoms called "anaphylaxis."

Everyone is recovering or improving their symptoms.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, anaphylaxis was newly reported in 12 men and women in their 20s to 50s.

According to reports from medical institutions, 12 people were vaccinated with the new coronavirus developed by Pfizer, a major American pharmaceutical company, by the 10th, after which symptoms such as headache, nausea, and hives were confirmed.

The fact that the latest person started to have symptoms 40 minutes after inoculation means that all of them have already recovered or improved.

Seven had a history of drug or food allergies.

Of the 187,41 health care workers vaccinated domestically by 5 pm on the 11th, 37 reported anaphylaxis, or about 1 in 4,900.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare plans to hold an expert group on the afternoon of the 12th to verify the causal relationship with inoculation.

Expert "Is the medical institution responding early?"

Akira Oka, director of Saitama Children's Medical Center, who is a member of the expert group of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare that evaluates the safety of the new coronavirus vaccine, said, "11 people except one of the follow-up patients have relatively mild symptoms. We are receiving treatment promptly and improving, and it is thought that medical institutions are responding at an early stage. We would like to firmly discuss how to confirm a sufficient history in the preliminary examination and how to proceed with information provision. "And so on.
