At the call of the coordination of intermittent and precarious Midi-Pyrénées, nearly 200 people decided this Thursday morning to occupy the national scene of the Pink City, joining a national movement to demand the reopening of cultural places.
Numerous signs and banners that read “we are not an adjustment variable” or “we have proposals” were hung outside the building or in the large hall where the meeting was held.

If the reopening of performance venues is a priority, the demonstrators also demand the withdrawal of the unemployment reform, as well as the extension of the white year for intermittent entertainment workers and its extension to all precarious and seasonal workers.
The day before, Roselyne Bachelot, the Minister of Culture, deemed "useless" the occupation of theaters to demand the reopening of cultural places closed since the end of October due to a pandemic, despite the extent of this movement.
The management of the Théâtre de la Cité, which accepted the reception of the demonstrators in accordance with the sanitary rules, indicated in a press release that "this fight concerns us [all and all], it is common to us, we are therefore together in dialogue and action to obtain answers and rights ”.
