Recently, in the forest near the Wild Elephant Valley in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, a small male elephant quietly came to the Asian Elephant Provenance Breeding and Rescue Center.

After eating sixty to seventy sugarcanes and some elephant grass, the little elephant fell asleep.

After waking up, I came to the elephant house to communicate with the elephant "Rock and Rock", and didn't leave until dawn. The whole process was monitored and photographed.

It is understood that the Yunnan Asian Elephant Provenance Breeding and Rescue Center is currently the only scientific research base in China with Asian elephant shelter, rescue and breeding research as its core.

Asian elephants are national first-level protected wild animals. There are currently only more than 300 animals in China, mainly distributed in Xishuangbanna, Pu'er and Lincang in Yunnan.
