  [Explanation] On March 9, the reporter walked into teacher Wang Jinmei’s home and saw that she was teaching students the technique of pipa.

Wang Jinmei is a pipa player. Although she is an 81-year-old elder, she still insists on playing and teaching the pipa.

  In the 1970s, Wang Jinmei heard Xinjiang folk music by chance and was deeply attracted.

So, he came to Xinjiang with her husband and worked in the Urumqi Art Theater.

  Because of her love of Xinjiang folk music, Wang Jinmei began to learn the music of various ethnic groups in Xinjiang outside of work. For this reason, she overcame the language barrier and insisted on studying at the Muqam Research Center for two years.

  My biggest difficulty is that I don't speak Uighur. I understand his music by ear, and use music instead of language.

  【Explanation】While learning Xinjiang folk music, Wang Jinmei insisted on composing pipa music for more than 30 years.

Finally, in 2002, the book "I Love Xinjiang-Thirty Pipa Songs" edited by Wang Jinmei was published. The book covers "Aijem", "Peony Khan", "Little Bald Man on the Grassland", and "Muka "M" and so on, Xinjiang folk music that everyone is familiar with.

The book has also become a teaching material for many art schools.

Playing Xinjiang folk music with pipa is unique among the pipa factions.

  Pipa is the most difficult, so for Pipa, traditional techniques are enough to play Uyghur music. The key problem is to learn from his rhythms and the problems of melody. Generally speaking, it is not easy to master. It takes a certain amount of effort to master it.

  [Explanation] Munila is one of Wang Jinmei's students. Because the two families are neighbors, Munila has been learning pipa with Wang Jinmei since he was a child. This has been more than 20 years.

  Teacher Wang Jinmei was very patient with me. My musicality was not very good in all aspects, but she was very patient with me, and she taught me for free, which gave me a deeper understanding of the pipa and encouraged me to keep playing.

  [Explanation] Pipa, which spread from the Western Regions to the Central Plains in ancient times, developed rapidly in the Central Plains.

Wang Jinmei told reporters that her greatest wish is to be able to "root and sprout" Pipa in Xinjiang.
