On March 8, local time, workers were cutting down oak trees in a woodland in Paris, France.

It is reported that these oak trees were selected for the reconstruction of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris the previous week.

According to reports, the French government plans to use the same materials to restore the iconic spire of Notre Dame de Paris. For this, about 1,000 oak trees between 150 and 200 years old are needed.

The French government will search for suitable oak trees from the domestic state-owned forest land and private forest land, and accept donations from overseas.
