The order was received from the health food manufacturer "Macro Future" in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.



According to the Consumer Affairs Agency, when selling two types of health foods containing ingredients such as LPS, the company wrote on its website from September to October last year that it "activates macrophages and boosts immunity. In addition to the indications such as "STOP! CORONA" and "Don't lose to the virus!" On the leaflets attached to the products from June to August last year.



When the Consumer Affairs Agency investigated for the submission of supporting materials, there was no human data, and it was not recognized as a rational basis.



For this reason, the Consumer Affairs Agency has issued a measure order to the company to prevent recurrence, saying that it is a "good misidentification" based on the prize labeling law.



"Macro Future" told NHK that "I can't comment because the person in charge is absent."



Katsuhiko Kimura, director of the Food Labeling Countermeasures Office of the Consumer Affairs Agency, said, "There are currently no foods that have therapeutic or preventive effects on the new coronavirus, so please be careful about these advertisements."
