A state of frustration prevailed among workers in the Egyptian cinema industry, due to the meager revenues generated by the films shown in the midst of the Corona pandemic, and the public’s fear of attending the shows, despite the precautionary measures followed, and the control of only 25% over the scheduled number of any cinema.

Although Egyptian cinema is currently devoid of big films in terms of budgets and stars, many are waiting for the advent of Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and the summer season, hoping that conditions will improve and the virus recedes.

Lift from width

The revenues of some films that were continuing to show deteriorated to the point that the owners of cinemas decided to remove these films, because they did not achieve any revenues, including the movie "The Black Box" starring the actress Mona Zaki, Muhammad Farraj, Mustafa Khater, Sherif Salama, Asma Jalal and Karim Subhi, as it was decided. He raised him from theaters, after his revenues declined significantly over the past week, as he achieved only 90 pounds.

The film is about the story and directed by Mahmoud Kamel, and the screenplay and dialogue of Ahmad Al-Dahan and Haitham Al-Dahan.

The film "Imp-Transit" has also been raised due to its lack of revenue in recent weeks. It is directed by Yasser Howeidi, and starring Bayoumi Fuad, Muhammad Tharwat, Asma Abu Al-Yazid, Mahmoud Al-Laithi, Muhammad Jumaa and Mahmoud Hafez.

Among the guests of honor in the film are Ahmed Fahmy, Sheiko, Mustafa Khater, Hamdi Al-Mirghani and Muhammad Abdul Rahman.
