André Juillard

 is one of the big names in the Franco-Belgian “clear line”.

His “Cahier bleu” earned him the Alph-Art for best French album at the Angoulême Festival, which also awarded him the prestigious Grand Prix in 1996. “Les 7 vies de épervier” or “Plume au Vent” with Patrick Cothias, the cover of "Blake and Mortimer" with Yves Sente;

“Léna” with Pierre Christin, “Mezek” and “Double 7” with Yann: these are a few examples which have enabled us to discover the clarity and beauty of his drawing.

It is always astonishing and moving to discover the work of an artist in his studio.

His is located in Brittany, in the Côtes d'Armor department.

But we can get a glimpse of it by immersing ourselves in this book, designed and laid out by Vincent Odin.

A 412-page dive into the “Secret Notebooks (2004-2020)”, by André Juillard.

Le Beau Livre was published by Daniel Maghen editions.
