On March 7, at the 30-day countdown press conference for the 100th anniversary of Xiamen University, the commemorative stamps of "Xiamen University’s Centenary" were announced. This is the first time that China Post has adopted two-color engraving and printing technology in college-themed commemorative stamps. , This set of stamps uses computer hand-painted expression methods, mainly based on the iconic buildings of Xiamen University, highlighting the historical heritage and strong regional characteristics of Xiamen University.
The large-page stamps break through the conventional stamp layout and are designed in the form of axis symmetry, presenting the shape of a Chinese knot for the first time, which is very rare in stamp issuance.
China Post will issue a set of "Xiamen University Centenary" commemorative stamps on April 6, 2021, on the anniversary of Xiamen University, with a face value of 1.20 yuan.
Xiamen University was founded in 1921 by the patriotic overseas Chinese leader Mr. Tan Kah Kee. It is the first university founded by an overseas Chinese in the history of modern education in China. During the "School Anniversary Week" from April 4th to 7th, Xiamen University will combine online and offline forms.
