Ile-de-France may have escaped containment over the weekend, but not the wave of new cases of Covid-19.

The regional health agency (ARS) of Ile-de-France has given "the firm order" to hospitals and clinics in Ile-de-France to deprogram 40% of their medical and surgical activities.

Objective: to increase the number of intensive care beds dedicated to coronavirus patients.

With 973 patients currently in intensive care for "less than 1,050 beds" available, "we are in a situation of very strong tension", declared the director of the agency, Aurélien Rousseau, wishing that the new target set at 1,577 beds be " reached during the next week ”.
