BTS, who was nominated for the Grammy Awards of the highest authority in the pop world, will also perform at the awards ceremony.
The American Recording Academy, which hosts the Grammy Awards, announced the entire lineup of performers at the 63rd Annual Awards Ceremony, which will be held on the 15th (14th local time).
The lineup included BTS, Cardi B, Doja Kat, Billy Eilish, Lil Baby, Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Megan the Stallion, Post Malone, Roddy Rich, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift.
Recording Academy quoted BTS''Dynamite' lyrics on SNS, saying, "Let's watch BTS brighten up Grammy's night with fireworks," and "You won't want to miss their performance."
This is the first time a Korean singer has performed as an official nominee at the Grammy Awards, which is regarded as the'dream stage' of musicians.
The Grammy Awards, qualifier as Music's Biggest Night, feature awards as well as performances of the best stars of the time.
BTS performed at the 62nd Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles (LA) last January, but did not get nominated and stood on stage in the form of a joint performance.
At the time, they staged'Old Town Road All Stars' with rapper Lil Nas X and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.
Leader RM's feature in the remix version of Lil Nas X's song'Old Town Road' became an opportunity to participate in the joint concert.
On the other hand, since I was nominated at this year's awards ceremony, there was an expectation that I could set up a solo stage.
BTS has been nominated for the Grammy's'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance' category this year with the hit song'Dynamite' that topped the Billboard main single chart.
It was the first time they attended the Grammy Awards at the 61st Annual Awards Ceremony in 2019.
At the time, they participated as award winners, but after two years, they were nominated for Grammy and performed on the stage.
BTS members have revealed many times that the Grammy's solo stage is their dream.
Suga said at the'Dynamite' Billboard No. 1 round-table conference in September last year, "We had a collaboration stage together at Grammy, but this time I thought I wanted to do a solo stage of BTS alone." I said.
RM mentioned the memory of seeing the'Swagger Like Earth' stage at Grammy by top American rappers such as TI, Jay-Z, and Lil Wayne as trainees at a press conference for the release of the'BE' album last November. It was the stage that left the biggest footprint for us in the growing season.”
However, due to the Corona 19 situation, it is observed that the BTS stage will be filmed in Korea.
The recording academy said, "Artists will be together while keeping the streets safe. As a community, we will present music for each other, and we will celebrate that music brings us together."
This year's Grammy Awards will be broadcast by CBS and others starting at 8 p.m. on the 14th EST (10 a.m. on the 15th KST).
