Jean Castex, recalling that the next few weeks will be "very sensitive" on the Covid-19 front, promised on Saturday that the government would "put the package on vaccination" and that it "will not unplug immediately" aid to the catering sector when it can reopen.
"We have a month, a month and a half, two very sensitive months" because of the variants of Covid-19, the Prime Minister told a restaurateur on the sidelines of a visit to a farm in Saint-Eloi, in the Dig.
However, "this variant risks driving us back, I don't know, perhaps to be re-defined".
"So we must put the package on vaccination" in March and April, he added, while the government wants to boost this weekend thanks to hundreds of thousands of doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine remained in the cupboards.
Regarding the reopening of restaurants, at a still undetermined horizon, "we must be ready the day we can press the button", underlined the Prime Minister.
In this regard, "we will not be able to immediately disconnect the device" of aid, said Jean Castex, who also provides for "symbolic actions" to support the sector, such as the enhancement of gastronomy in the second half of 2021 .

“What we wouldn't like is a partial reopening, what we would like is a total reopening”.
Questioned by the president of the urban community of Guéret, Eric Correia, on the situation of intermittent entertainment, Jean Castex invited them "to go for a walk in Germany, in Italy to see how much they are compensated".
