The government wanted to accelerate its vaccination campaign this weekend, thanks to major operations carried out in several regions particularly affected by the epidemic of coronavirus and its variants.

The operation should be successful, according to Olivier Véran.

Saturday afternoon, the Minister of Health has indeed indicated in a tweet that “220,000 French people have been vaccinated” according to a count at 5.30 pm, or “more than double from last Saturday”.
