On March 3, local time, SpaceX's next-generation heavy-duty launch vehicle "Xingzhou" SN10 conducted a test flight in Texas, USA. The rocket exploded a few minutes after landing.

CNN reported that the test flight was carried out at SpaceX’s "Xingzhou" R&D and test base in Boca Chica, southern Texas.

"Xingzhou" SN10 lifted off smoothly after launch, reaching an altitude of about 6 miles.

During the return phase, the rocket landed in a horizontal direction in free fall.

Just before landing, the rocket activated its thrusters again, turned the fuselage into a vertical direction, and slowly landed on a concrete platform not far from the launch pad.

Since December 2020, SpaceX has performed three "Xingzhou" prototype flight test missions.

In the previous two missions, both "Xingzhou" SN8 and SN9 exploded during landing.
