China News Service, Hong Kong, March 4 (Reporter Wang Jiacheng) 9 people involved in initiating and inciting the illegal "Occupy Central" in 2014, the former associate professor of the Department of Law of the University of Hong Kong Dai Yaoting, the former associate professor of the Department of Sociology of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Chen Jianmin and the pastor Zhu Yaoming, etc., the year before Convicted of conspiracy and inciting others to commit public nuisance, Dai Yaoting and Chen Jianmin were each sentenced to 16 months imprisonment, Shao Jiazhen and Huang Haoming were sentenced to 8 months imprisonment, and the remaining 5 defendants were sentenced to probation and social service orders.

Among them, Chen Jianmin, Shao Jiazhen, Huang Haoming and others have served their sentences. Dai Yaoting was allowed to go out on bail waiting for an appeal after serving about 16 weeks.

Since the 2nd of this month, 9 people have appealed their convictions and sentences, and the hearing lasted 3 days.

After hearing the statements of the prosecution and defense today, the judge decided to adjourn the judgment and revoke Dai Yaoting’s bail in the case.
