Jean Castex "invited" Thursday the inhabitants of the 23 departments placed under reinforced surveillance, due to the progression of the Covid-19 epidemic, not to leave these territories, and recommended to all French people not to exceed the gauge 6 people during convivial moments.

"I invite the inhabitants of the 23 departments concerned not to leave, as much as possible, their department or their region when it comes to the Ile-de-France departments," Prime Minister Jean Castex said Thursday at a press conference.

"The virus still strikes unevenly the different parts of our territory, let's avoid spreading it where it is still less intense," he said.
