K11 MUSEA, which was violently infected a few days ago, was diagnosed with an additional employee in a shop.

  The new cases involved 7 men and 2 women, aged between 12 and 74 years old.

Of all the cases, 3 were imported cases, including a foreign domestic helper from the Philippines who arrived in Hong Kong on March 2. Preliminary tests showed that the patient had the variant virus N501Y.

  Zhang Zhujun, Director of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Center for Health Protection of the Department of Health, announced that a total of 51 cases have been found with N501Y, of which 34 are the virus found in the UK, 7 are the virus found in South Africa, and 4 are the virus found in Brazil , And the remaining 6 cases have not yet been classified.

  Of the 6 local cases, 1 had an unknown source and 5 were related cases.

The case of unknown origin is a 69-year-old man who lives in Ching Moon Building, Tin Ching Estate, and works as a security guard in Hung Fook Building, Sham Shui Po. The two buildings where he lives and works will be included in the mandatory test announcement. Colleagues working in the room will be listed as close contacts and need to be quarantined.

  All 5 related cases were sent to hospital by the quarantine center.

Zhang Zhujun said that another employee of Cartier in K11 MUSEA was diagnosed; a person living in Block 7 of the staff dormitory of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology was diagnosed earlier, and two of his close contacts were also diagnosed.

In addition, there were about 10 preliminary confirmed cases that day.

  According to the Hong Kong Epidemic Special Website, another 78-year-old confirmed patient passed away. The patient himself had a long-term illness. He was transferred from the Quarantine Center to the isolation ward of Princess Margaret Hospital on January 17 due to fever and was subsequently diagnosed.

The patient's condition continued to deteriorate and was postponed to his death on the evening of the 3rd of this month.

  Liu Jiaxian, Chief Administrative Manager (Quality and Standards) of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, informed that as of 9 am, a total of 15 confirmed patients had been discharged from the hospital in the past 24 hours. So far, a total of 10593 confirmed or suspected patients have recovered and discharged.

A total of 222 confirmed patients are in 23 public hospitals, community treatment facilities and the Hong Kong Infection Control Center of North Lantau Hospital. Of these, 13 are in critical condition, 12 are in serious condition, and the rest are in stable condition.
