(Fighting against New Coronary Pneumonia) Non-stop flights between Macau and Qingdao fully resumed

  China News Service, Qingdao, March 3 (Reporter Hu Yaojie) Direct flights between Macau and Qingdao will resume on March 3.

According to Peng Yunfeng, Executive General Manager of Air Macau Qingdao Representative Office, passengers do not need to be quarantined in both directions between Qingdao and Macau by virtue of a positive negative nucleic acid test report within 7 days.

  Peng Yunfeng said that the direct flight between Macau and Qingdao was grounded in October last year due to the epidemic and resumed in early February this year. However, due to various reasons, only three flights were operated after the resumption.

Starting from that day, the route will resume flights in full every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The aircraft type is Airbus A320 with a total of 158 seats. The flight number from Qingdao to Macau is NX021, and the flight number from Macau to Qingdao is NX022.

  Peng Yunfeng said that the full resumption of direct flights between Macau and Qingdao will drive exchanges between the two places and promote the recovery of the tourism industry.

Through the analysis of ticket reservations and sales, the number of passengers on this route is gradually increasing.

  At present, the direct flight between Macau and Qingdao is the only route involving Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan that has fully resumed operation in Shandong Province.

The entry-exit administrative department of the Chinese public security organs has resumed processing of visas for mainland residents to travel to Macau (including group travel and individual travel).

  So far, there has been no community transmission of the new crown pneumonia virus in Macau, and no local cases (including asymptomatic infections) have been reported for 338 consecutive days.

Passengers travelling from Qingdao to Macau on Air Macau flights are required to present a valid new coronavirus nucleic acid test negative certificate within seven days of the sampling date.

Macau passengers entering the mainland must provide a certificate of negative nucleic acid test within six days after the sampling date, or a "health code" containing information on negative nucleic acid test within seven days.

  It is reported that Air Macau opened a direct flight from Qingdao to Macau on August 29, 2018. Qingdao has become one of Air Macau’s 20 stations in Mainland China and the first city in Shandong to open a direct flight to Macau.
