The Berlin police broke up an agreed-upon mass brawl involving children and young people.

When the officers arrived at the scene of the event at Alexanderplatz in Berlin-Mitte on Tuesday afternoon, around 30 minors hit each other, as the police said on Wednesday.

The police were able to seize 14 girls and a boy between the ages of eleven and 16, and the other people involved managed to escape.

In a 14-year-old, the investigators found a blank gun.

No one was injured in the incident, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.

There is still no information about the exact background of the incident, it has "ultimately beaten everyone on everyone".

A 13-year-old also tried to attack a police officer, but he was able to fend off.

In order to determine the other parties involved, video recordings and findings from the surveys are currently being evaluated, the spokesman said.

How those involved had arranged to meet for the fight was initially unclear.

The criminal police are investigating a particularly serious breach of the peace and an assault on law enforcement officers.
