Former US presidential spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany returns to television: The 32-year-old ex-spokeswoman for former President Donald Trump will become a political commentator on Fox News, the US broadcaster announced on Tuesday.

McEnany began her television career on CNN in 2016 before joining Trump's team the following year.

Trump made McEnany his spokeswoman in April 2020.

She held this post until the Republican moved out of the White House in January of this year.

McEnany is not the first ex-Trump employee to switch to the conservative broadcaster Fox News.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who was the White House spokeswoman between May 2017 and June 2019, was also recruited as a political commentator by Fox News.

At the end of January, however, she announced that she would leave the station to run for the gubernatorial elections in the state of Arkansas.

Trump's former economic advisor Larry Kudlow also made the move from the White House to the Fox Group.

He now hosts a weekly TV show on Fox Business.
