Sapporo City announced that 21 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.

The city also announced that a woman in her 80s who lived in the city, which had been confirmed to be infected, has died.

The total number of infected people in Hokkaido is 19,172, of which 685 have died.
