China News Service, Macau, March 3 (Reporter Long Tuyou) The "Macao China International Ten-kilometer Race" hosted by the Sports Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and the Macao Athletic Association will be held for the first time on April 11.
The organizing committee of the event held a press conference on the 3rd to announce event details and registration arrangements.
The race is divided into two races, 10 kilometers and happy running.
The Happy Running event will start at 7 am, and the 10km event will start at 7:30. The starting point will be at Xiwan Lake Plaza. The race route will pass through Sun Yat-sen Road, Guanyin Lotus Garden and Xiwan Bridge, and the end point is the Olympic Sports Center playground.
A total of 10,000 entries are provided for the event, including 6,000 for the 10km event and 4,000 for the Happy Running event. The two events will be accepted for registration on March 6 and March 7 respectively, while the quota is full.
The organizing committee of the event also announced that Sands China Co., Ltd. will become the title sponsor of this year's "Macau International 10km Race".
The Director of the Sports Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region Pan Yongquan and the President of Sands China Ltd. Wang Yingwei performed the cheque delivery ceremony at the press conference.
In order to ensure the safety of the event, the organizing committee of the event will make careful arrangements for the event in accordance with the epidemic prevention guidelines issued by the health department.
