A first complaint had been lodged by the SPA of Mérignac, then a second, last Sunday, on behalf of the association, for "serious abuse or acts of cruelty towards tame or captive domestic animal".

Tuesday, on the spot, more than thirty animals were found, held "in unworthy conditions", in a house considered "unsanitary", occupied by several members of the same family.

"In all, about fifteen dogs, nine cats, three rabbits, a hen, a peacock pigeon, a guinea pig, a chinchilla, a water turtle", lists the association Venus, are found in "conditions horrifying detention ”,“ unbearable smells ”.

Nine dogs were thus held "in a room in the middle of their excrement".
