Among these candidates, 288 were from Hong Kong, 95 were from Taiwan, and 1 was from Macau.

Among them, 252 applied for master's degree candidates and 132 applied for doctoral candidates.

There are 231 full-time candidates and 153 part-time candidates.

  As for the distribution of candidates, the center disclosed that there are 28 technicians, 5 university teachers, 8 middle school teachers, 2 civil servants, and 341 other personnel (including primary school teachers, undergraduates, and masters graduates).

As for the academic background of candidates, there are 138 graduate students, 229 undergraduates, and 17 undergraduates.

  According to the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Center, in 2021, there will be 60 mainland universities and colleges for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students to apply for the exams, spreading across the country. The universities with more applicants are Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, 59 from Fudan University, 28 from South China Normal University, There are 27 from China Institute of Labor Relations, 12 from Renmin University of China, 18 from Shanghai Jiaotong University, and 11 from Zhejiang University.

  There are 122 majors in the application, and the largest number of applicants is public administration with 27 people, and the rest are Chinese medicine internal medicine, acupuncture and massage, finance, such as business administration, applied psychology, education and other majors.   The Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Center stated that in response to the epidemic, no unified examination will be arranged in 2021. Instead, institutions will arrange written examinations on their own. Candidates will be notified in the middle and late of this month.
