"In the next step to promote the dual-cycle deployment, we can consider two key tasks in the service industries of education, medical care, and elderly care." Hu Wei, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and full-time vice chairman of the Shanghai Democratic Progressive Committee, told reporters. On the one hand, Foreign resources and other relevant social forces can be allowed to participate; on the other hand, to meet the highest global standards, optimize the layout of the city’s education, medical and other public service development, and allow the provision of multiple types and levels of education, medical care, and consumer products to fully absorb growth. Triangle's human resources are used to make long-term plans for Shanghai's future talent pool.

Hu Wei has served as a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference for two consecutive terms, and has followed the National Political Coordination Research Group in more than 10 provinces.

He has been engaged in education research for more than 20 years, said that people's livelihood has always been his focus area.

When investigating youth development issues in recent years, Hu Wei learned that the problem of "empty-nest youth" is becoming more and more prominent in big cities.

The so-called "empty-nest youth" refers to young people who live apart from their parents and relatives, are single, and rent a house alone.

Public data shows that in 2018, China's single adult population reached 240 million, and more than 77 million adults lived alone.

In 2017, this number was only 58 million.

Hu Wei said that according to the prediction of relevant departments, this data may continue to grow, and this number may rise to 92 million in 2021.

"At present, the'empty-nest youths' in the country are mainly distributed in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, with Guangzhou having the most, Beijing second and Shanghai third. The empty-nest youth working and living in these cities not only have higher living costs, but also the cost of starting a family. In addition, in recent years, the young people’s view of marriage and love has also changed dramatically, and the proportion of young people who think it is unnecessary to get married is very high."

His research found that the increase in the number of "empty-nest youths" has brought about two major problems: one is the increase in the number of "empty-nest youths" who have physical and mental problems; the other is that the number of "empty-nest youths" that continues to rise has affected to a certain extent. Marriage rate and fertility rate.

In this regard, Hu Wei suggested to provide physical and mental health services and family construction services for the needy "empty nest youth", and promote the transformation of the "empty nest youth" group to the "nest building youth" group through social guidance and support. , And effectively improve the real difficulties of a considerable number of "empty-nest youths" in housing and other aspects.

Speaking of the upcoming National Two Sessions, Hu Wei said he was looking forward to it. He revealed that this year, he is still intensively working on education, public services, and "old and old" and other livelihood problems, including the implementation of minors’ travel and accommodation identity registration verification system, reform of education evaluation methods, improvement of aesthetic education in the new era, promotion of the development of private kindergartens, and optimization of children Grow the cyberspace, build a new ecology of out-of-school education, guide the transformation and development of training institutions, and expand industrial talent training channels.
