The calligraphy works of many Qing emperors in the collection of the Shenyang Palace Museum are a feast for future generations.

There were 12 emperors in the Qing Dynasty. The Shenyang Imperial Palace was not only the palace used by the three emperors Nurhachi, Huang Taiji, and Shunzhi before the Qing Dynasty entered the Pass, but also the residence where the four emperors of Kangxi, Qianlong, Jiaqing and Daoguang visited the ancestors after the Qing entered the Pass. It is also an important place for the collection of royal treasures.

In the Qing Dynasty, there used to be nearly 200,000 Qing imperial articles and secret books of the inner government, which were transferred from Beijing for storage. The Shenyang Imperial Palace was one of the three imperial treasure houses of the Qing Dynasty that was as famous as the Beijing Palace and the Rehe Palace.

Under the background of Han culture, diligent practice of calligraphy and painting has become a court fashion, especially for the royal family.

The Qing Dynasty emperors' paintings and calligraphy have their own styles and distinctive features, and their surviving works are relatively rich. They are one of the important collections of the Shenyang Imperial Palace.

The top right quoted a seal in the white script "Yuan Jian Zhai" with a long circle seal, and wrote a poem. The whole poem reads: "The Kirin Pavilion of this generation, who is the first contributor. Emperor Kangxi once said: "I have been in the pool since I was a child, and I wrote more than a thousand characters every day, without interruption. The ink and stone carvings of ancient celebrities are all carefully copied. They have been accumulated for more than 30 years. The reality is good." Kangxi was particularly good at the calligraphy of Dong Qichang in the Ming Dynasty, so the characters were also taken from Dong Shu and from various schools, and directly influenced and led the trend of the calligraphy at that time, so that the calligraphy of the early Qing Dynasty was filled with the lingering charm of the Dong school.

"Emperor Yongzheng was educated in Han culture since he was a child, and his calligraphy followed his father Kangxi, Zhao Mengfu and Dong Qichang, using running script and cursive script as the best. The characters are like his own, smooth and beautiful, and magnificent, demonstrating the mighty power of a generation of iron-fisted emperors." Li Shengneng said.

The calligraphy works of Emperor Yongzheng are less handed down, and the "Ping An Ruyi Axis" in the Shenyang Palace Museum is the most auspicious work in the emperor's calligraphy.

In addition, the "Yinzhen Cursive Script Wushen New Year's Eve Shou-Sui Poem Scroll" in the Shenyang Palace Museum is also the work of Emperor Yongzheng.

The whole poem reads: "Send La to build a new festival, the year is over half a hundred years ago. Dao heart just meets, and people want to go against the time.
