Shi Haofei, a representative of the National People's Congress, is a researcher engaged in micro-nano manufacturing and system integration research at the Chongqing Institute of Green Intelligent Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

He once led a team to prepare the first 15-inch single-layer graphene in China.

Graphene is a new type of semiconductor material composed of carbon atoms and can be used as a key material for a new generation of electronic devices and optoelectronic devices.

In recent years, researchers from the Shi Haofei team of the Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have taken root in the west, sticking to the front line of scientific research to engage in research on new materials and micro-nano manufacturing.

Thanks to the support of national policies and the hard work of researchers, the results of various scientific research work have been remarkable.

In the long-term scientific research work in the western region and the technical exchanges with the eastern developed regions, Shi Haofei's team found that there is still a gap between the western region and the eastern developed regions in terms of talent introduction, use and training.

NPC deputy Shi Haofei suggested that the construction of a national-level scientific research platform in the western region should be strengthened, and a better career development platform should be used to attract more outstanding talents to the western region for innovation and entrepreneurship.
