Starting this week, the new coronavirus vaccine will be delivered to all prefectures nationwide in preparation for this month's priority vaccination of healthcare professionals.

The vaccine developed by Pfizer, a major American pharmaceutical company, has been vaccinated in advance for about 40,000 people at 100 medical institutions nationwide since 17th last month.



Following this, priority vaccination of approximately 4.7 million healthcare workers will begin this month, and vaccines will be delivered to prefectures nationwide this week.



Over the next week, a total of 1000 boxes, up to 1.17 million doses, will be delivered.

Vaccines are distributed to prefectures according to the number of medical staff,

▽ Osaka prefecture 72 boxes, maximum 84,240 doses,


▽ Fukuoka prefecture 52 boxes, maximum It is for 60,840 times.



As soon as the vaccine arrives, priority vaccinations will be given to healthcare professionals in each region.



As a general rule, Pfizer vaccines need to be re-vaccinated three weeks after the first vaccination, and the second vaccination is expected to be delivered to each prefecture in the week of 22nd of this month and the following week.



The government has indicated that healthcare workers and the elderly who are eligible for priority vaccination will deliver the vaccine required for double vaccination nationwide by the end of June.
