After 4:30 in the morning of the 28th, a person who was passing by in Kamikuratsukuri, Hirano-ku, Osaka reported to the fire department that "black smoke and fire are coming out."



About 40 fire engines came out to extinguish the fire, and the fire was almost extinguished after about an hour and a half, but according to the fire department, eight buildings including houses and surrounding buildings, about 760 square meters, were burnt.



According to police, one body was found in the burnt remains of a two-story house.



After the fire, police are proceeding with confirmation that it has become impossible to contact Mr. Toru Suematsu (85) who lived in this house.



The site is an area where houses are lined up about 300 meters south of JR Kami Station.
