Like an air of déjà vu.

As of tomorrow 6 hours, after the curfew already in force, the Azureans living in one of the 63 coastal municipalities targeted by the new anti-Covid-19 restrictions will return to confinement.

For the whole weekend, until Sunday 6 p.m.

And also the next one.

But then, what will it be possible to do (or not)?

After several days of uncertainty, the prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes has (finally) published its decree specifying things this Friday at the beginning of the afternoon.

A return certificate… with the right to do what?

If the shopping centers are closed, “the purchase of professional supplies, of first necessity” remain authorized as well as “the withdrawals of the orders, the deliveries at home as well as the removals”.

For ventilation, "short trips, within the limit of one hour per day and within a radius of 5 km around the home" are also authorized.

Be careful, however, if you live in Nice, it will not be possible to access the beaches or the south sidewalk of the Promenade des Anglais.

Christian Estrosi took a decree in this direction this Friday.

Travel "to go to a public service or to a legal professional for a procedure that cannot be carried out remotely", "to or from a place of worship" are also permitted.

The issue of mountain trips has been resolved

The prefecture specifies that it is possible to participate "in gatherings, meetings or activities on the public highway or in a public place which are not prohibited", carnivals being excluded.

Another decree also published this Friday prohibits them "in all the municipalities of the department" until March 8.

All other trips are prohibited under penalty of a fine of 135 euros.

It will for example "not be possible to reach his second home in the hinterland this weekend," said in

Nice-Matin

the director of the prefect's cabinet, Benoît Huber.

Mountain trips are therefore also prohibited except "if you can justify a hotel or Airbnb reservation" and you travel outside "curfew hours", he explains.

Our dossier on containment

French Riviera residents whose place of residence is affected by confinement and who are already present in the mountains can also return during the weekend, provided they still respect the curfew.
