WORLD:
Mr. Sievert, you have reported particularly severe side effects after your vaccination with AstraZeneca.
What happened?
Timo Sievert:
I was one of the first in Hamburg to be vaccinated with AstraZeneca.
Because I work full-time in the rescue service, I belong to priority group one.
The educational work on site at the vaccination center was great.
The vaccinating doctor asked about certain previous illnesses, but I didn't know any.
In the morning I got the injection in my right arm.
In the evening, as is the case with vaccinations, my arm hurt, but so did the ankle muscles in my right leg.
I had a high fever, almost 40 degrees.
When I woke up at ten to five in the morning because I had to go to the bathroom, I shifted my weight onto my right foot - and fell.
WORLD:
Your foot did not obey you?
Sievert:
The entire right half of the body, from below the cheekbone down to the leg, felt like after a local anesthetic at the dentist
