For most of the Melodifestival audience, Clara Klingenström is probably a completely new name.

But she has a radio hit behind her with "Summer Memories".

And it is precisely her naked and honest lyrics that she has been appreciated for.

"Singing to myself"

It will not be different when she now performs at the Melodifestivalen.

The song "Do not need you today" she has written together with meritorious David Lindgren Zacharias and Bobby Ljunggren.

But the text is completely her own - and it is very close to herself.

- The idea when I sat down with my piano and wrote the lyrics was that I sang to myself.

I sing to myself and others who have been in the same situation.

The background is her own life where for a period, as she herself describes it, she has not dared to give herself love.

- I have for many years had problems with anxiety, I have not been so kind to myself.

I have been in bad conditions where I have not been treated so well.

This song is like I take back power over my life, she says.

She continues:

- I have also been very destructive in the way that I have used drugs and a lot of alcohol.

"Dare to receive help"

She does not want to go into details for fear of possible libel.

But in the lyrics, that feeling of revenge becomes clear to those who listen carefully.

"The strength that is in me allows me to be free from you.

You made me become someone else.

I do not need you today ", she sings.

For those who may be in that seat today, what tips do you have for them?

- Seek help, dare to receive help.

It is not dangerous or bad to receive outside help.

Also to people around that you are also there and do not blame people who have been through this, says Clara Klingenström.
