The German man eats pork. That seems to be a law in the meat industry. I heard it at the butcher in Templin and a grill master in Magdeburg when I wanted to order poultry sausages. If I were vegan or vegetarian, I wouldn't have to explain to anyone why I no longer eat pork. I don't care about my cholesterol level. I think the hysteria about antibiotics in the schnitzel is exaggerated. As an agnostic who grew up in a Christian culture, I do not feel tied to any ethnic or religious pork taboos. I am anything but a missionary. I'm just a bio-German who stopped doing it at the age of 55.
