According to the big data released by Mafengwo Tourism today, the search popularity of the keyword "flower viewing" rose 28% on a week-on-week basis, and the search popularity of the keyword "where to go in March" rose 34%.
Ma Yutao, head of the Mafengwo Tourism Big Data Research Center, said that from March to May, various parts of the country will usher in the flowering period one after another, and flower viewing will be a popular theme for tourists in the next two months.
Jiangxi Wuyuan, famous for its rapeseed sea, has become the tourist destination with the fastest increase in search interest recently, with tourist interest rising by 57% on a week-on-week basis.
Just after the Spring Festival, rape blossoms in Wuyuan’s Jiangling and Huangling 10,000-mu terraced fields have quietly bloomed, and many tourists have already gone to the local area to “step on”.
Rape flowers in southern provinces such as Hunan, Fujian, Zhejiang, and Guangxi have also entered the flowering period one after another. Tourists can enjoy the flowers nearby according to time arrangements and traffic conditions.
In 2020, tourists missed the cherry blossom season in Wuhan due to the epidemic. This year, the sunny weather has allowed the cherry blossoms in Wuhan to bloom early. Many tourists will go to the cherry blossom appointment after a year.
In addition to Wuhan, famous southern cherry blossom viewing spots such as Yuantouzhu in Wuxi and Gucun Park in Shanghai have also entered the early cherry blossom viewing period.
The 10,000-acre cherry blossom garden in Pingba, Guizhou is ready to bloom, and is about to enter the flowering period in early March.
In March, Tibet’s Linzhi will usher in the Peach Blossom Festival, and Linzhi’s tourism attention has also risen rapidly, and search interest has increased by 22% on a week-on-week basis.
The best viewing route of Nyingchi Flower Sea-"Sichuan-Tibet Line Self-driving" also showed a clear upward trend, with search interest increasing by 31% on a week-on-week basis.
