On the morning of the 25th, one house was burnt down in Uwajima City, Ehime Prefecture, and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.

After the fire, two mothers in their 80s and a daughter in their 60s who lived in the house were out of contact, and police are proceeding with the identification of the bodies.

After 8 am on the 25th, the fire department was notified that a fire was coming from the house of Natsuko Saneto (85) in Maruo-cho, Uwajima City, Ehime Prefecture.



Four fire trucks came out and the fire was almost extinguished about two hours later, but Mr. Saneto's two-story wooden house of about 155 square meters was completely burned down, and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.



In addition, some of the surrounding houses were also burnt.



According to police, Mr. Saneto lives with his eldest daughter, 62 years old, and has lost contact with them after the fire.



Police are checking the identity of the body and investigating the cause of the fire.



The site is an area where houses are lined up about 500 meters southeast of JR Uwajima Station.
