They were born at the Océanopolis aquarium in Brest on November 30 from the union between Meck and Neiko.

Since then, the two otters have grown well and weigh 2.2 and 2.3 kilos respectively.

"They are beginning to emancipate themselves a little, to come out more and more of the catiche but always accompanied by their mother", indicates in a press release Christine Dumas, head of the marine mammals and seabirds service at Océanopolis.

The Brest Marine Park is now trying to give a small name to these two baby otters, two males.

For this, he is launching an appeal to Internet users who will be able to vote this Thursday on the Océanopolis social networks (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter).

Arwenn or Moutig for one, Ki-dour or Dousik for the other

Two Breton names are proposed for each of the otters.

The first will be called either Arwenn (which means white in Breton) or Moutig (mignon in Breton), the second either Ki-dour (otter in Breton) or Dousik (sweetness in Breton).

Océanopolis specifies that it will keep the two otters until their first birthday.

The latter will then leave Brest "for other structures capable of presenting this species", specifies the aquarium.
