The Bayonne (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) branch of the Bordeaux judicial police has just put an end to a vast network of traffickers and drug users on the Basque coast, reveals France Bleu Pays Basque on Thursday.
The drugs were ordered via social networks or on Whatsapp.
The investigation, started in the summer of 2019, was even nicknamed "Uber Coke" by the police, because the delivery was carried out on two wheels.
Two Parisians, who regularly went to the Basque coast to supply two small hands in Bayonne, were arrested and imprisoned.
Customers, divided between Biarritz and Bidart, were also questioned.
Shopkeepers, artisans, but also former rugby players and movie stars would be involved.
Some also benefited from "VIP" rates.
