[Explanation] In the eyes of Chen Hui, a 60-year-old old man, ordinary cans are treasures that can be carved with various exquisite patterns.

Over the years, Chen Hui has devoted himself to promoting the concept of environmental protection, turning cans into exquisite relief paintings.

On February 23, the reporter came to Chen Hui's home in Longtian Town, Fuqing City, Fujian Province for a field interview.

[Explanation] Chen Hui, 66 years old, is a retired surgeon.

When I saw Chen Hui, he was busy in the studio at home, painting, carving, cutting, and splicing, taking extra care in every step.

I used to be a surgeon and an orthopedic surgeon. After I retired, I was very busy at work and didn’t have time to touch these. Later, after retiring, I found that someone did this in Japan, so I got an inspiration. Later, I first met. Just be a Huifeng Hechang, and then I will do fish, grass, flowers and birds, as well as animals, various flowers, birds, and characters.

[Explanation] After retiring, Chen Hui began to collect cans of different colors, and carved characters and flowers and birds on them.

Because of his artistic skills, he quickly made his first can work.

The characteristics of sculpture, the texture of metal, the style of paper-cutting, and the techniques of Chinese painting, these seemingly irrelevant elements are integrated in Chen Hui's hands. The discarded cans are given new life and become exquisite works of art.

Chen Hui told reporters that to create relief paintings with cans, the cans must first be cut open, flattened, and painted on the silver-white inner wall, followed by more than ten processes such as cutting and splicing.

Cut it at the earliest, flatten it after it is cut, and draw it after it is flattened, draw it, and sculpt it after it is drawn. If it is large, we need to paste it and connect it. If it is a small piece, we will directly draw it. A draft is required.

If you think about how to put this together, it’s better. Don’t expose the seam. If the seam is exposed, it won’t look good, right? You have to be very careful and calm down. .

[Explanation] Over the past few years, Chen Hui has made nearly a hundred works out of discarded cans and has become a famous environmentalist in Longtian Town.

In Chen Hui's living room, exquisite relief paintings of cans are hung everywhere, including flowers and birds, plants, calligraphy, etc., which are very ornamental.

They are all carved out of cans. They are a little three-dimensional. The cans are not that big and the color is not that big. Take out small pieces. For example, after carving, try not to waste the cans. Small ones are small. The role of the blockbuster has the role of blockbuster.

The remaining small ones, green has green, and red has the effect of red, so they have to be connected and put together.

[Explanation] Chen Hui's environmental protection concepts and methods of turning waste into treasure have been praised by friends around him.

Every time Chen Hui has a new work, many people come to visit it.

Chen Hui hopes to teach this craft to more people, share it together, and carry forward the craft.

I also hope to say that if someone wants to learn and has the talent for painting, he must paint if he can’t paint, he can’t sculpt it. This is the first foundation, so if someone has the talent for painting , I will pass this on, let everyone share it, let’s share it together, and carry forward this sculpture, a new type of sculpture in the current society.
