The legendary Polish adventurer Alexander Duba (74 years), known for crossing the Atlantic alone, died on a kayak 3 times, after crossing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.


The family of the Polish athlete announced, on his Facebook page, yesterday, Tuesday, that Duba died on February 22, and that “a traveler died after he reached the highest peak in Africa, Kilimanjaro, fulfilling his dreams”.


The seventieth Polish adventurer died after climbing the highest peak on the continent (5891.8 meters), and he fainted before descending, and he did not regain consciousness despite his recovery efforts, according to the French news agency.


Retired engineer Duba became famous after he crossed the Atlantic alone, unaided, by kayak three times, from Dakar to Brazil's Akarao in 2011, from Lisbon to Florida in 2014, and from the east coast of the United States to the French coasts.
