The Banyuetan reporter's investigation found that some so-called cooperation with famous schools is often in name but not really, and has nothing to do with the educational resources of famous schools.
Take the experimental school affiliated to Peking University as an example. The school has many branch schools across the country. The introduction of these schools says "jointly run a school with Peking University" and "adhering to the concept of a prestigious school". The school badge is also similar to Peking University.
"Although it has the Peking University brand, it actually has nothing to do with Peking University." The person in charge of an experimental school affiliated to Peking University in Fujian told Banyuetan reporters that the school is funded by a group in Fujian and the "Beijing Peking University Affiliated Experimental School" under the Peking University Group. Cooperation was established.
According to the signing agreement, the group paid Peking University Jade Bird's brand naming and management fees, but after receiving the money, the latter did not have substantive guidance and resource input to the school.
The person in charge of the Planning Division of the local education department said that the experimental school affiliated to Peking University is a famous enterprise-run school project introduced by the city government.
"We also asked about the naming issue when the school landed. The other party's explanation was that the'Peking University' named by the school was not Peking University, but the name was used in cooperation with schools and enterprises under Peking University."
Some prestigious schools cooperate in running schools with mixed quality, and the results are not satisfactory.
Since 2011, the High School Affiliated to Beijing Normal University has successively opened experimental schools in Guanshanhu District and Gui'an New District, Guiyang City. In Chongqing, some publicly-run primary and secondary schools cooperate with real estate developers to set up private schools. Some parents have no choice but to spend more money to enjoy compulsory education that was originally "public welfare" and "inclusive".
“In order to get children to go to a prestigious school, I had to bite the bullet and grab the high-priced degree housing from a prestigious school’s co-developers.
