Around noon on the 23rd, there was an accident in which a freighter and a fishing boat collided off the coast of Kujukuri Town, Chiba Prefecture, injuring seven people, including anglers on the fishing boat.

The Japan Coast Guard is investigating the detailed situation.

On the morning of the 23rd, 499 tons of cargo ship "Asahi Maru" and 15 tons of fishing boat "Third Shoichi Maru" collided at a point about 30 km offshore of Kujukuri Town, Chiba Prefecture.



According to the Choshi Maritime Security Department, at that time, the captain, sailors, and 12 anglers were on board the fishing boat, and a total of 7 people, including 5 anglers, were injured by the impact of the collision.



In each case, there is no difference in life.



In this accident, the bow of the fishing boat was broken and a part of the inside of the boat was flooded, but it is possible to sail on its own.



On the other hand, there was no noticeable damage to the cargo ship and the crew was not injured.



Since the cargo ship was heading for Kushiro Port, the Japan Coast Guard is investigating the detailed situation of the accident by listening to the parties concerned.
