A new part of the bone was found in a paddy field in Otaki Town, Chiba Prefecture, where a machine gun and engine believed to belong to the former Japanese Navy fighter "Zero Battle" were found.

On the day of the end of the war, it is believed that the Zero battle crashed and the pilot died in the vicinity, and DNA testing is scheduled to be conducted in the future.

On the day of the end of the war, there are several witness testimonies that the Zero Battle crashed near the rice fields in Otaki Town.

At the request of the bereaved family of the Zero Battle pilot, Masahide Koji (77) has continued to search for the place where the aircraft crashed, but last month with the cooperation of locals and others, he used heavy equipment. When I dug up the paddy fields, I found a machine gun and engine that seemed to be equipped in the Zero Battle.

After that, when we proceeded with the investigation, we found something like a part of a bone several centimeters square from the vicinity.

Since the locations found are all very close, DNA testing will be conducted in the future as it may be the remains of a deceased pilot.

Koji said, "I'm looking forward to the results of the appraisal for the long-awaited bereaved family."
