Miyagi Prefecture and Sendai City announced on the 21st that it was confirmed that nine new people were infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
Two new infections were confirmed in Sendai, Natori, and Kesennuma, and one each in Tomiya, Ishinomaki, and Higashimatsushima, for a total of nine people.
It was the first time in three days that the number of confirmed infections in the prefecture fell below 10 per day, and the cumulative total of infected people was 3563, including those who had already recovered.
