On February 19, the border police from the border police station of the Ili Border Management Detachment of Xinjiang General Inspection Station led two border guards to patrol the Hongdaban area and check whether the border facilities were damaged by blizzard.
In recent days, heavy snowfall in the Yili River Valley in Xinjiang has caused part of Daban’s roads to be blocked by waist-deep snow and avalanches.
Hongdaban is located on the China-Kazakhstan border with an altitude of more than 3700 meters. It belongs to the high-cold and hypoxic plateau mountainous area.
