On February 19, the plane carrying the first batch of 1 million doses of Kexing Holdings (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd.'s new crown vaccine arrived at Hong Kong International Airport.

The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, said recently that she will be vaccinated with the first Mainland China Covid-19 vaccine to arrive in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong will open an online appointment for vaccinations against the new crown on February 23, and will start a vaccination plan on February 26. Five groups including medical institutions, personnel participating in the fight against the epidemic, and the elderly 60 years of age or older will be given priority vaccination.

Hong Kong has so far approved two new crown vaccines for emergency use in Hong Kong. The other is the "Fobitai" vaccine from Fosun Pharma/German pharmaceutical company BioNTech. The first batch of 1 million doses is expected to arrive in Hong Kong before the end of February.
