　　Liu Shuai comes from a rural family in Wuming Town, Fuyang City, Anhui Province.

When he was a child, he liked to go to his grandmother’s house the most, because not far from his grandmother’s house was the Beijing-Kowloon Line. Hearing the sound of the train, and watching the smoke from the roof, he said to his companion, "Long I want to drive a train too".

　　After the college entrance examination in 2009, Liu Shuai was finally admitted to Wuhan Railway Vocational and Technical College. At that time, he chose high-speed EMU driving as a major. He wanted to become a high-speed rail driver.

After graduating in 2012, Shuai Liu officially set foot on the position of locomotive attendant.

Half a year later, he successfully became a locomotive assistant driver and also ushered in his first Spring Festival travel.

"The first time I was away from my hometown, I felt homesick during the holidays, and after all, I was a wandering wandering outside, thinking in my heart is to ask for leave to go home."

On the first day of the Spring Festival travel season, he and his master were on board the train from Guangzhou to Shenzhen. 　　Driving the high-speed rail is not as simple as standing at the front of the car and pulling the joystick.

Throughout the process, high-speed rail drivers must be on high alert.

Even in the middle of the night, the driver must watch six roads and listen to all directions. Often after 4 hours, Liu Shuai feels tired.

The speed of high-speed rail reaches 300 km/h, requiring high-speed rail drivers to promptly deal with unexpected situations during driving.

　　"Every second of hesitation or wandering may bring potential safety hazards." Liu Shuai said, the most common thing is that the train makes abnormal noises while driving. It is very common to hit a bird during the high-speed rail. If you hit a bird, you don’t need to stop the emergency. Although there are protective nets along the railway, sometimes dogs, chickens and ducks will break into the train. On the track, if it hits a larger dog, it must be stopped urgently, and the train must be checked for safety to ensure that the train is not damaged before it can move on.

　　Liu Shuai said that a high-speed rail driver is like a commander. To be a qualified high-speed rail driver, one must be bold and careful.

At a speed of 300 kilometers per second, every second is a distance of hundreds of meters. For unexpected situations during driving, the driver must make a judgment in one second whether he needs to stop.

Once the decision to stop is made, the dispatcher must be notified to let the mechanic get off the car and inspect the car. It may take 10 minutes, even if the speed is slightly increased in the distance, but it may eventually cause the train to be delayed by two or three minutes.

　　During the Spring Festival travel period, there are many trains on the railway. If a train is delayed, it will usually cause many trains to be delayed. Therefore, sometimes when you hear abnormal noises from the train, you must make a judgment within 1 second whether you need to stop for inspection.

"Therefore, during the Spring Festival travel season, the high-speed rail drivers are always in a state of nervous tension and must be twelve points. Even in the middle of the night, we dare not relax at all."

"When I left, my son was only born for more than 20 days. When I saw him again, he was already half a year old. When I saw him next time, his son was already one year old." Speaking of this, Liu Shuai couldn't help crying. .

Liu Shuai said that after so many years of marriage with his wife, he has always promised his wife that he would take her to see the sea.
