Isolation of people infected with Covid-19 extended to 10 days

To block the road to variants of the coronavirus, the isolation of all infected people is extended to 10 days, Olivier Véran announced on Thursday.

"Some scientific studies suggest the possibility that the variants would be responsible for a longer duration of contagiousness than classic COVID," said the Minister of Health.

“Without waiting for confirmation, and to the extent that the share of variants in contaminations has become high, I have decided that the duration of the isolation of all patients with a positive diagnostic test will pass, as of Monday, from 7 to 10 days.

It remains 7 days for contact cases.
